The Sweetest Hangover (I don't want to get over)

(source unknown)

I've attended two national championship games in New Orleans, but I doubt either were as sweet as last night's shutout of #1 LSU. It was sweet redemption for our special teams after the regular season game loss, 6-9 in OT, in Tuscaloosa. Coach Saban seemed happy, even after his Gatorade bath. This team seemed to be incredibly fit, the most prepared, and the more focused. I commented on Facebook about LSU being lifeless and someone responded that Bama made them lifeless. That may make for a boring game to someone else, but to this Bama fan? Sweet.

ESPN reports Alabama is Number 1 in the Associated Press (AP) with 55 votes; number 2 LSU with 1 votes; and, number 3 Oklahoma State with 4 votes. Oregon and Arkansas round out the top five in the AP.

Firsts:
Shutout in BCS Championship history
One state wins three national championships in a row (Alabama, Auburn, Alabama)

Winning the game isn't enough. Doing it the right way is what's important, Saban says. Serving others is important. (Disney Spirit Award)
