Who REALLY Sacrifices

Sometimes, we have to let the charts do the talking to counter the myths and misconceptions about exactly WHO pays taxes in this country. The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities released information regarding this as our Congress is debating raising the debt ceiling.

Consider the slogan of "shared sacrifice". Then, consider the above chart and read from the Center's report. Makes you ponder the definition of rhetoric and rethink that, doesn't it?

I keep hearing all this talk about the family budget and not spending more than one brings in. Whether it is the family budget or the federal budget, one has to have revenue before one can determine how to spend that revenue wisely. Rethink the spending, yes. But, be a good citizen as well.
