It Was 30 Years Ago Today

On June 5, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) published the first mention of five cases of pneumocytist carinii pneumonia in young men. In 2009, it was reported that 33.3 million people were living with what came to be known as AIDS (acquired-immune deficiency syndrome) and HIV (human-immunodeficiency virus).

Today, we remember those who lost their lives to this disease and its related illnesses. Never forget.
