Let's see.....I wonder what happened in 2009 that made the debt ceiling of such grave concern to the GOP? Especially after they had eight years to destroy a surplus and spend us into debt with such wild abandon? Calling them out and comparing them to undisciplined children who take too much time off work, as President Obama did in his press conference today, won't work. Even calling them out on their hypocrisy, as I am trying to do here, won't work. A 2' x 4' over the head won't work, either.
It would be interesting if one or two (or more) Republicans would just stand up and say they were not going to hold this process hostage and would support raising the ceiling. The party might not like it but this citizen would have a lot more respect for the GOP Congressman/woman who would be willing to take the job seriously. I am probably not the only one who feels this way, either.

It's just more proof to me (looking at that graph) That they don't really give a rats ass about this country..they only care about being in power themselves. A "I'll take my toys and go home" attitude.
I knew that they wouldn't support anything this President does, but I really never thought they'd so blatantly not care about the American people.
Oh wait--yes I did. I did know that. Nothing has changed.
