Weekend Cat Blogging #309

On April 27th, tornadoes came through the southern United States. One of the hardest hit areas is in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The response from across the country has been tremendous, as has been the generosity of people in the community.

Our community has also reached out to our feline friends too, offering shelter, pro-bono medical care, foster homes, and, most importantly, tender loving care. Shelters, at least one still without power, need supplies.

Jules, Vincent and I are reaching out to our Weekend Cat Blogging friends who might be willing to get out the word or who might be willing to make a donation.

Needs:
-medium and large wire crates for dogs
-puppy and kitten food
-Heartguard heartworm medicine for dogs
-flea and tick preventative for cats and dogs
-dry powder milk replacer for kittens
-small animal nursing bottles
-crates and carriers of all types
-collars and leashes
ALSO the following, available from veterinarians:
-Clavamox for cats and dogs
-cepha drops

Unless power has been restored, the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter can only accept donations in the way of checks:
