The 2010 Comprehensive Daily Kos/Research 2000 Poll of Self-Identified Republicans

These questions were devised to test some of the stranger beliefs that were floating around the country. Looking at the results, these stranger beliefs appear to be quite prevalent.

I would ask two questions to those self-identifying Republicans: 1) Do you still believe Fox News is in your best interest (many businesses in my area choose to run Fox News continuously)?, and 2) Does it not concern you that the GOP has discussed requiring "purity tests" for their party members?

These are not insignificant numbers. Yes, yes, yes - I'm all for freedom of thought, speech, press. But, shouldn't we demand factual information to drive our decisions?

Today would be another good time to pull out the picture I keep to remind me of the consequences of bizarre beliefs.
