I don't understand why Tebow was allowed to wear religious references during games. Would there be a reaction if the Koran, the Torah, or the Diamond Sutra was referenced? I do like BAMA 32:13!!!
Tom - Maybe they do but just keep it quiet, like they should. Haven't you noticed all the players in a circle praying after the game? Seems to me it would put a lot of pressure on those who wished not to participate.
I've recently had some discussions related to this. I thought it would be fun to make a sign with some of the more bizarre bible verses and display them at sporting events. Not because of the message itself, but to inspire people to look up some of this stuff. If I ever do it, I would start with Deuteronomy 23:1. ESV.

Thad - Wouldn't that cause a few to wince?!
For those who aren't familiar with this, Thad shared it via email:
8. Deuteronomy 23:1 ESV
No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off shall enter the assembly of the Lord.
