I am considered one of President Obama's base. I am one of the anti-war protesters who marched in Washington, D.C. against the planned unilateral strike against Iraq. I continue to be an anti-war supporter, one who chose Obama over Senator Clinton for that very reason. Can President Obama convince me otherwise? Probably not. Will I listen? Yes. Will I support him? I don't know.
President Obama is scheduled to deliver his speech to the nation on Tuesday where he must persuade the country to back his plan to (reportedly) double the number of 'troops'* in Afghanistan. As of today, the only plus I can see is that it is actually in Afghanistan.
*Troops = soldier = human being.
