just from the topic, I knew it was the Stooges.
They always remind me of an episode of Cheers, where someone suggests that Sam does stuff just to impress the ladies. He almost believes this until he remembers his love of the Stooges; women, in his mind, HATE the Stooges, but he still loves them. Point disproven.
