This arrived in my comments section today and absolutely made my day. It is the Honest Scrap blog award for those bloggers who write from the heart. I received it today from the fastest reader on this side of the country - the very thoughtful Missy at Missy's Book Nook. Thank you! I've been thinking a lot about honesty and trust this week so this really means a lot to me.
The rules are to pass it along to seven deserving bloggers and then list 10 honest things about myself. I am currently devising my list of bloggers and will list them here as soon as I have notified them. In the meantime, I'll quickly list 10 things about myself, honest but not necessarily things people know about me:
The rules are to pass it along to seven deserving bloggers and then list 10 honest things about myself. I am currently devising my list of bloggers and will list them here as soon as I have notified them. In the meantime, I'll quickly list 10 things about myself, honest but not necessarily things people know about me:
1) I saw Jimi Hendrix in concert in 1969.
2) I hung out and danced with a former Wimbledon winner.
3) For my 40th birthday, I got a tattoo of a drama mask (comedy/tragedy).
4) I have played, although not especially well, six instruments at some point in my life.
5) I can't parallel park.
6) I attended six schools in twelve years, grades 1-12.
7) I am athletically-challenged - can't swim, can't skate, can't hit a tennis ball, can't hit a baseball.....
8) I consider myself a recovering Southern Baptist - me, the preacher's kid.
9) I have been SCUBA diving at night (see #7 - you don't have to be particularly athletic, although it does help to be in good shape). I came up to the boat through a school of barracuda. Fortunately, I didn't know it until I was in the boat!
10) I have marched in two protests/rallies in Washington, D.C. - two of the most rewarding things I have ever done.
Recipients to follow... Thanks again, Missy!
